* “Unpaid consultants” is the term used by the international CODATA for those experts who provide staff support for the Task Group and who are paid for their services by another institution. Both Paul Uhlir and Daniel Cohen work for the NRC Board on Research Data and Information and the U.S. National Committee for CODATA. Their assistance to the Task Group is part of their core activities under the Board and the U.S. CODATA. They are thus not “members” of the Task Group and there is no conflict of interest.
