Polish Academy of Sciences, Habilitation (metallurgy) 1970,
Polish Academy of Sciences, Professor,1981.

Career to Data :
Since 1956 Institute of Metallurgy and Materials Science, Polish Academy of Sciences , Head of the Department of the Theory of Metallurgical Processes, from 1999 to 2003 Director of the Institute, actually employed as professor at the same Institute

Stays and visits :
Institute of Inorganic Chemistry, Technical University of Norway, post-doctorate fellowship 1965/66- 1 year, 2-3 months several appointments at the same Institute 1967-1977;
Iowa State University, 6 months 1974-visiting professor,
Max-Planck Institute, Stuttgart, Germany several 2-3 months appointments 1979-1995,visiting professor.
Short stays in Canada, USA, Japan, France in the frame of co-operation programs.
