Material database syndication with RSS/MatML

Eevery material databases on the Internet have different data schema.There are some trials to define unified schema for material database, but since the structure of scientific data is too complicated and changes dynamically, to define complete data schema is impossible task. There are two major approach for material data standard, one is MatDB, trying to define precise and detailed metadata, the other is MatML only to define framework.

But there's the third way, loose syndication like blogs with RSS. RSS, RDF Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication is developed to describe summary of document page but it can be extended to describe metadata of fact database with MatML/MatDB tags. In this presentation, RSS extension for material database summary will be discussed.
